Saturday

Men's breakfast as reported by President Will Purdue:  We had a great start to our day with the Men's Hour at 8am. It was early, but everyone quickly got in gear with a rousing praise hymn led by Bob Grant (Griffin) and more than enough coffee supplied by Cherry Log Christian Church. The video about COOKIN' FOR MISSION (formerly Int. Day of Pancakes) was viewed with an invitation for all Georgia Men's Groups to hold a fundraiser event to support this national endeavor.  Several announcements were made including the dates March 19 - 21, 2010 for Georgia Men's Retreat at Camp Christian and the needs for Layman of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award nominations.  Dick Savage of Disciples Benevolent Services then spoke to us about this vital service ministry with an emphasis on the Chaplaincy to US Seniors.  Please enjoy the newest edition of the Disciples Men Quarterly now called THE VOICE OF DISCIPLES MEN.
